A eulogy of Voetius states, “Few men have in any age exercised greater influence over the church of their time and country.” Abraham Hellenbroak said of Brakel’s systematic theology, “No family should be without it: the fruit which it has borne everywhere, and still bears, is extraordinary: from far and near one hears of the most lofty and
